Huawei is reportedly working on a 90W fast charging system

Huawei is working on a 90W wired fast charging system, according to the leakster @DigitalChatStation. The current iteration of SuperCharge peaks at 66W and was introduced with the Mate 40 series. It is also present on the new nova 8i, whose 4,300 mAh battery can be fully charged in 38 minutes (0-60% takes 17 minutes).

Does this mean that the Huawei P50 and co. will have a load of 90W? There is no guarantee, the 3C recently certified a phone with a charge of 66 W, which can be the S888-powered LTE version of the P50. Maybe the 5G model based on Kirin 9000 will be faster?

That could be the case, as (rumors) there won’t be a Mate 50 series this year, so the P50 could be the only high-level Huawei phone launch remaining for 2021. The P50 series is expected to be unveiled on July 29. , although this information is still awaiting official confirmation.

At the launch of the Mate 40, Huawei Consumer Business CEO Richard Yu claimed that the company had tested a charge of 120 W and even 200 W, but decided not to launch it due to battery capacity issues. The company also recently received certification for a 135W charger, so 90W will only be an intermediate step.
