Huawei is expected to bring the P50 series on July 29, and a zoom on one of the teaser videos has now revealed the key specifications of the P50 Pro’s camera setup. The writing next to the camera indicates VARIO-SUMMILUX-H1:1.8-3.4/18-125ASPH which corresponds to the apertures and focal lengths of the P40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro.

This means that the telephoto camera will offer a 5x zoom, while the ultra-wide-angle camera will have an equivalent of 18 mm.

However, these figures only reveal the apertures and focal lengths and don’t tell us much about the sensors behind them. There is also nothing about the middle camera, which is the main and most interesting.
Leaksters had previously claimed that the Huawei P50 vanilla would feature an ultra-wide lens equivalent to 13mm, while the telephoto lens would offer a 3.5x zoom. We’ll know if all of this is true next week, but I hope Huawei will tease more in the nine days leading up to the event.
