OnePlus is expected to introduce the Nord 2 5G on July 22, and along with that, the company will also unveil its new TWS headphones, dubbed onePlus Buds Pro.
The revelation comes from OnePlus R&D manager Kinder Liu, who said the Buds Pro will feature adaptive noise cancellation and use three microphones to monitor outside noise and then “intelligently produce noise-reducing counter-frequencies” to automatically reduce noise levels between 15 and 40 decibels.
The OnePlus Buds Pro look like Apple’s Airpods Pro and their design will be a combination of matte and glossy finishes. The buds will be matte, while their stems will have a shiny metal coating.
Liu says OnePlus used non-conductive vacuum metallization technology to create this design, and the process allowed it to achieve a metallic look on a plastic case surface.
Liu didn’t reveal the size of the OnePlus Buds Pro’s battery and charging case, but said the headphones, along with their charging case, would offer up to 28 hours of stamina with adaptive noise cancellation enabled and 38 hours without.
The Buds Pro’s charging case will have a USB-C port and will support Warp Charge technology, allowing you to get 10 hours of battery life with a 10-minute charge. Interestingly, you will be able to use any adapter or cable to get these charging speeds.
You’ll also have the option to charge the Buds Pro’s case wirelessly using any Qi wireless charger, but it will charge slower at 2W compared to 10W with wired charging.
OnePlus presents the Buds Pro as flagship-level TWS headphones and they will be sold in matte black color. We’ll surely learn more about the OnePlus Buds Pro as we get closer to the July 22nd unveiling.
