Oppo launched its first smartwatch called Oppo Watch last year, and the company will introduce its successor dubbed Oppo Watch 2 next week, on July 27.
Oppo hasn’t disclosed anything about the Watch 2 yet, but the smartwatch is already listed on the website of Chinese online retailer JD.com, revealing the Watch 2’s design and color options. It also tells us that the laptop will come with an Apollo 4s chip, camera control and a game mode. Although it is not clear what exactly a game mode on a smart watch will do.
Previously leaked specs tell us that the Oppo Watch 2 will have a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC at the helm helped by the Apollo 4s chip. The smartwatch will run ColorOS but will also have a secondary RTOS on board for extended battery life.
The rest of the leaked specs include eSIM and LTE support, 16GB internal storage, a new Oppo Relax app, new dials, stress detection, and two sizes – 42mm and 46mm.
We expect Oppo to confirm some of watch 2’s features in the days leading up to its july 27th release.
