After a faulty first listing on Amazon Canada yesterday, more details regarding Samsung’s Galaxy Watch4 series have appeared. SamMobile reports that the wearables will be powered by the all-new Exynos W920 chipset which is expected to offer significant performance gains over its predecessors. For reference, all Samsung watches dating back to 2018 Galaxy Watch used the 10 nm Exynos 9110.
The new report states that the W920 SoC will offer “1.25x faster processing time compared to the Exynos 9110” and “8.8x smoother graphics performance”. The new chipset will be paired with 1.5 GB of RAM, which is another upgrade from previous Galaxy watches. With the extra power of the Galaxy Watch4 series, Google’s watch operating system will feel and work like butter. We are waiting for more details before the Samsung Unpacked event on August 11th.
