We have good news and bad news for North American OnePlus fans – the most affordable configuration of the OnePlus 9 Pro, the one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, will not be available in the US or Canada. This was part of the original launch plan, but supply issues made it impossible.
Here is a statement from the company issued to Police Android:
“The OnePlus 9 Pro 8×128GB variant was originally scheduled to be sold in North America for $969. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen supply constraints specific to North American aircraft, we recently concluded that it was no longer possible to bring this configuration to the United States and Canada. In North America, we prefer the 12×256 GB version to ensure our users have access to the most powerful device.
We promised you good news: the 9 Pro benefits from a summer discount valid until July 21st. Using the code BESTOP9PRO you can get 100 USD/120 CAD on the 12/256 GB model, which lowers its price to 970 USD/1,380 CAD. That’s what the 8/128GB model would have cost, so you can consider it a free upgrade.
By the way, the OnePlus 9 is also discounted – the BESTOP9 promotional code allows you to benefit from a discount of 80 USD/100 CAD on the regular price. This means that vanilla 9 can be yours for 650 USD/900 CAD. Once again, this agreement is only valid until 21 July.
