In February of last year, Xiaomi introduced two Redmi-branded power banks, one with a capacity of 10,000 mAh and the other with a capacity of 20,000 mAh. Now, the company has announced that it has sold 1 million units in total of these two.
In India, the two food banks currently sell at a discounted price, up to INR 800 (20% discount) for the 10,000 mAh model and INR 1,400 (30% discount) for the 20,000 mAh model. . In Europe, only the 10,000 model seems to be available, currently down to €10. The largest model produces 18W, the smallest is limited to 10W. Both can be recharged using a USB-C or microUSB cable.
The million sales are only for Redmi branded units, last year Xiaomi announced that it had sold 10 million Mi food banks made in India.
And in 2015, the company boasted that its 10,400 mAh power bank (which was launched in December 2013) was its best-selling accessory in the world with 10 million units sold.
